Intercity Digital Pop-Up

Through a series of intercity online conversations events, the Edgelands Institute brought together its network from five partner cities (Medellín, Cúcuta, Geneva, Nairobi, and Houston). These conversations delved into the future of digital integrity and urban security, offering a unique platform to exchange experiences and solutions from diverse urban contexts. Rooted in local realities yet informed by global concerns, these dialogues explored critical themes ranging from surveillance and AI governance to digital rights and community safety.

The aim of these Intercity pop-up discussions was to learn from each other’s experiences on a local level and to foster dialogue and exchange on a global level, in the hope of building a collective understanding of this crucial issue. This dynamic exchange is documented in the following blogposts, videos, and reports.
